it might be too late to try but have you gotten any massage on your hands and forearms? the constant work on them with all the kbs might have them so tight they lock up faster than if that tension were release with some deep tissue work.just a thought.
I also slowed my roll down on my 36:36 hoping it would help my failing grip but it didnt doomuch either.holding overhead still got the forearms tight.
great luck man I know you will do well, and by that I mean suiting up, showing up and doing your best in a real meet. can't ask more from anyone than that.you have my resepct.
Rif,
Thanks for the support. I am not sure my failure is my grip, but actually my hands.....I am afraid of skin tears. The more I analyze things though.....I think overall it is a conditioning thing. As I fatigue, my form falters leading to hand issues. I think with more training and better overall conditioning I will eventually get this goal. Will I be able to gut it out next weekend....I guess I am about to find out.
the good news is that during the comp you won't even feel any pain if you do tear at the end.either way you will learn and grow for thenext training cycle and comp. you will do well.
for me the more fatigued my forearms the weaker the grip and the weaker my grip the tighter I have to grip and the more tears.
but I know you know what's right for you.
have fun man.
