Received my new Olympic shoes yesterday and tried them out for the first time today. Will take a little time to get used to, but I did notice a couple of things with my jerks: 1) the heel lift helps me get my knees closer to "locked" in the rack and 2) my arches weren't aching at the end of my money set like usual. Jerks weren't as strong today as over the weekend. However, I am getting behind on sleep and work has been crazy.

Didn't realize that you hadn't been wearing OL shoes all this time Matt - you will grow to love them for your jerks!
I think you are right Boris. Previously, I had been training in Sambas and my feet would get pretty sore after a 10 minute set.
