SSST Training and New Goals

I have changed my goal for the SSST.  Used to be 200 reps, but with David Whitley's Thanksgiving challenge I have changed my goals to the following:

1) 220 reps SSST - 24kg
2) 80 sets 15:15 VO2 Max with 16kg (8reps)
3) C&P 40Kg

Today was SSST training:

24kg Snatch 10L/10R x 12 sets - 40 seconds rest between sets

240 snatches

I was joined by my wife who is going to work my program with me over the next 12 weeks.  She did:

8kg Snatch 10L/10R x 10 sets - 40 seconds rest between sets

Dave has a way of calling one out doesn't he? Hopefully I can upload this video and put the snatches behind me. Should be waiting for Rif's approval shortly. I did a couple extra just in case I counted wrong. Now I'm working the 32kg ladders between football plays. When I get the approval on the vid, it's on. My wife agreed to try the V02 this week. I've got a friend going to Cleveland for a few weeks. How far from Mayfield Heights to where you're having the KB meeting?Jon

The park where we are meeting is only 3 or 4 miles from Mayfield Hts. Is your buddy a kettlebeller? If so, and he needs a workout while in Cleveland I would be happy to provide the iron. Just pass on my email address: schinabeck@yahoo.com.
Congrats on hitting the snatch test! I would like to see the video too. Post it on your blog if you can. Strong work getting the wife into kettlebells. My wife fell of the wagon, but she is now climbing back on. Last winter she was hitting em hard.
